WEEK 1
Business Analysis Fundamentals
- Introduction to Business Analysis and its importance.
- Roles and responsibilities of a Business Analyst.
- Types of requirements documents (Business, Functional, Non-Functional).
- Requirement gathering techniques (interviews, surveys, workshops).
- Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
WEEK 2
SOFTWARE ENGINEERING PROCESSES
- Overview of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
- Waterfall methodology and its comparison with Agile.
- The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- BA’s role in various software development processes.
- Introduction to hybrid methodologies (Agile-Waterfall mix)
WEEK 3
REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS AND DESIGN DEFINITION
- Hands-on learning with Confluence for documentation.
- Creating Business Requirements Documents (BRD).
- Developing Functional and Non-Functional Requirements (FRD, NFR).
- Introduction to a Traceability Matrix for tracking requirements.
- Effective techniques for validating requirements
WEEK 4
DATA PRIVACY AND RISK MANAGEMENT
- Understanding data privacy laws and their impact on projects.
- Introduction to risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
- Identifying and managing risks in product development.
- Basics of AI and machine learning concepts for BAs.
- Ethical considerations in data usage and AI implementation.
WEEK 5
MAINTAINING PROJECT BACKLOG USING JIRA
- Creating projects in Jira and organizing Epics, Themes, and User Stories.
- Tracking and updating project progress using Agile boards.
- Generating reports in Jira (burn-down charts, sprint velocity).
- Understanding wireframes and their importance in UI/UX design.
- Hands-on practice: Creating wireframes using Miro or Lucidchart.
WEEK 6
BUSINESS PROCESS MODELING NOTATION (BPMN)
- Introduction to BPMN and its importance in process mapping.
- Using MIRO for collaborative process mapping.
- Creating a process map for a real-world scenario.
- Applying generative AI to automate or improve business processes.
- Identifying inefficiencies and proposing process improvements
WEEK 7
WIREFRAMS AND QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTING
- Introduction to manual testing and its importance in quality assurance.
- Creating and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Understanding the basics of automated testing.
- Writing test cases linked to requirements.
- Creating wireframes using Miro or Lucidchart
WEEK 8
CASE DATA VISUALIZATION FUNDAMENTALS
- Introduction to data visualization and its significance in decision-making.
- Creating visual reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Basics of storytelling with data to communicate insights.
- Comparing Power BI with other tools (e.g., Tableau)
